How to Read a Porta Potty Quote, Line by Line
What lines appear on a porta potty quote?
A porta potty quote shows the unit price, a delivery-and-pickup fee, a rush fee for same-day orders, sometimes a fuel fee and a card fee, and sales tax. Ask for each line separately before you pay. One caller asked exactly that, and it is the fastest, fairest way to compare two companies line by line.
| Line | What it covers | Negotiable? |
|---|---|---|
| Unit | The rental | Sometimes |
| Delivery & pickup | Two truck trips | Rarely |
| Rush fee | Same-day rerouting | Avoid with next-day |
| Fuel fee | Route fuel | Sometimes waived |
| Card fee | Card processing | No |
| Tax | By address | No |
Which fees can I avoid?
You can usually avoid the rush fee by taking next-day delivery, and dispatch can sometimes waive the fuel fee. Weekend events picked up Monday should not add day charges. Ask before you pay.
